That time I peed on my phone

After lots of requests, here I am to once again tell you all an embarrassing story.
Featuring me.
Because it is always friggen me.

Like many of my stories, this story begins with pre-drinking.
I was at home with my lovely ladies, listening to music, putting our makeup on, having a real swell time. I had my new pants on that I felt fabulous in and I was feeling good about the night. There was also a gentleman I was looking forward to seeing.

So we decide it is time to stop with the pre-drinks and head over to the venue. I thought, "oh I know, I will go to the bathroom now before we go".
I put my phone in my back pocket.
And it all went downhill from there.
There were three or four items resting on the lid of the toilet. I sat down to do my business and I heard something fall. I looked around and couldn't see anything. Please note. There was no splash sound.
So I assumed something that was sitting on top of the toilet had fallen behind the toilet.

So I peed anyway.

I got up, pulled my pants up, went to flush but before I did I looked in the toilet. There was my beautiful iphone 5C sitting in my urine and toilet paper.

Now the question at this point in time is do I :

a) flush the toilet first and hope it doesn't actually flush the phone

OR

b) reach into my toilet with all of the yellow glory and rescue my phone before it drowns.

I chose option b.

I ran out of the bathroom yelling "my phoneeeeee!"
And then without thinking, I asked my friend if she could take the cover off for me. Because we were both drunk we didn't realise that that meant she would be touching my pee. She took the cover off and a gush of toilet water and urine came splashing out.

Yummy. But that is love. Even if she then wiped it on me.

So yes. The screen kept moving. Went blue. And died. RIP.
I was without a phone for nearly a week. I had to share with my friend. Who was also sharing with another friend because her phone was stolen. Three 21 year old women sharing one phone. It certainly got a workout.

Thankfully though I was still able to contact that gentleman.
And I am very pleased to say I now have a new phone. And Tinder is back. I can breathe again ;)

xx Sarah
