Movies I think every girl should watch

So I am sitting here with a face mask on and was trying to think about something to write about whilst it does its thanggg. Then a movie popped into my mind that I had watched that really stayed with me...And I started thinking about how it was a really good message and it would be beneficial for younger girls to watch it. Then I thought, well there are a few movies like that. And voila, here is my topic lol. I'll give a brief reason why I think it should be watched and I'll give a link to the trailer so you can check it out. :)

1. Mean Girls.

Well DUUHHHH. It's a classic. And although it's slightly exaggerated, I think it actually portrays high school pretty well. From a girls perspective. Guys tend to be a little ignorant of most of the things that go on for girls during that time. But this movie captures it well :) And who doesn't love a little Lindsay Lohan before her drug addict phase? I would be pretty shocked if you are my age and haven't seen this movie...but I shall put the link here anyway haha. Click HERE.

2. Looking for Alibrandi

SUCH A GOOOD MOVVVVIIIIEEEEE. Especially if you are an Australian girl because it talks about the HSC year. Which is our final year of high school. It shows family drama, bitchy school girls, boy drama, cultural issues and it gets very emotional at one point. I cry EVERY time. But it is a movie that I still love to watch and I think it's very relatable. See the trailer HERE.

3. Thirteen

Now this one I'm not sure I would want my daughter (if I had one) to watch too young. Even if it is about thirteen year olds haha. Very dark, but I used to watch it over and over again...Shows the result of peer pressure and how social dynamics can just change in a second. Love it. See the trailer HERE.

4. The Breakfast Club

Now this isn't one that I think only girls should watch, it's good for all teenagers. Kinda like mean girls it focuses on the different social groups that we find in high school. But it does it in a very different way. It is set in the 80s and it is another movie I have had on repeat. So so so good. Now 80s trailers obviously weren't the best but see it HERE.

5. The Help

A movie that gives a lot of insight into how life used to be for women, and also how life used to be for African American people. It is definitely a thinking movie, and makes you feel empowered. I remember coming out of the theatre and just being like..."woaaahhh...". It is a must see. See the trailer HERE.

Well those are my top 5 movies for girls and if you haven't seen them I certainly recommend them. I better go wash my face mask off now...I hope it hasn't stained my face pink from being on too long :P

Love you guys :) xx
