Catching the train

To be honest, I find catching trains rather anxiety-producing at the best of times. But at night time it tends to escalate. I could very well just be a big wuss. But if I can avoid it, I certainly will.

Every trip seems to be rather similar I have found.

There is the man speaking too loud on his mobile phone in another language.
The man asleep with his hoody over his head, leaning against a window.
The man who you seem to be keeping an eye on because he definitely could be a psychopath. You don't want to become one of the train massacre statistics. Or one of the people in the security videos who gets violently beaten and then shown on television.
There is the man who looks dazed as he sips at his brown paper bag.
The man that you have chosen to protect you in case your would-be psychopath springs into action.
The person listening to their ipod just that little bit too loudly.
That one annoying person eating and orange...
The girls in their less-than subtle evening wear on their way to the city. No doubt sipping on something in a lemonade bottle which contains no more than 20% lemonade.
And then there is me. The quiet one with her pink notebook watching people and generalising for her own entertainment.

But hey. How else can you pass the time on an hour long train trip?
Have a good night xx
