The best date ever- a limited edition

Since you are all very interested in snooping into other people's love lives.
I thought I would give you all a little Valentines day present and give you a rundown of the best date I have ever been on :)

Last night I went on a date with an honest to goodness gentleman.

He took me to a wine and tapas bar. (An automatic 100 points)
And so that we could both enjoy some drinks, he picked me up in a taxi. The taxi pulled into my driveway and I nearly lost my shit hahaha. Naturally my two roommates ran and SHOVED THEIR FACE IN THE FRONT WINDOW TO TRY AND GET A LOOK AT HIM.
gahhh.

I tried to play it cool. I waited until he messaged me to say he was here so he wouldn't know that I was pretty much waiting by the door.

I don't think guys really know how much preparation goes into a first date.

Yesterday I bought a whole new outfit. After trying on about 15 dresses. I got my nails done. I got a massage to calm my nerves. I spent two hours getting ready. Had two showers. One to wash my hair in the morning. One to get rid of the sweat from being so nervous. (I'm such a lady).

Anyway. So I get into the taxi. And the conversation just flowed! There was not one moment of awkward silence for the whole night. And the drinks kept on coming and we got more and more comfortable and it was so refreshing. All the nerves left and I felt like I could joke around and be myself.

We talked about travel and I accidentally brought up politics (OOOOOPS). We talked about our families and I told him allllll about Campbelltown and all its glory.

Considering a week or two ago I had a horrible date experience. It was definitely a confidence boost to have a good one.

Even if I will be single this year for Valentine's Day. It is nice to know I am not socially inept haha.

We stayed until closing then we walked to another bar and stayed there until they closed. It became late and he had to work the next day so we sadly had to go home. But he opened the taxi door for me and dropped me home. Even though it was out of his way.

I texted him when I got inside to say how much of a good time I had. I don't care if that's not what you are supposed to do. But he agreed that he also had a great time so it felt ok haha. That and I was intoxicated from all the wine I had drunk.

But seriously. Even if he was boring, which he obviously wasn't, the venue would have saved the date haha.
As soon as I sat down when we got there I said "well...this is my kind of place". He let me choose all the wine and all the food. That is my kinda guy haha.

And to top it all off, he liked my outfit. Which I had bought especially for him. So... mission accomplished.

YAY ME

xx Sar
