I had 30 minutes to save NYE...

On the last day of 2014, I was tested. By God himself. But him and I are all good now. Because I passed the test and we have an agreement that 2015 is going to be the best year of my life. haha.

So me and all my girlfriends decided we would take use of my Dads apartment whilst he was away (with his permission of course). This meant new years eve with a view of the fireworks. Perfect.

So we made the train trip into the city. Arrived at the building and signed out a spare key. On the spare key you only get the physical key. Not the buzzer that lets you get up to the level you are on. So you have to get the concierge to do all that for you. Which is fine.

So we got up to the apartment and I saw a set of keys sitting on the dining table. And they had the buzzer on them so I thought, "these would be easier to use". So I picked them up and we left. I realised I had to run back and get my handbag. What I didn't realise is that these set of keys ONLY had the buzzer on them...no key....

We were stuck.

We went down to the concierge. No second key.

Called my brother. He also doesn't have a key.

Looks like I was going to have to pay $500 for a locksmith to come out on NYE. Yayyyy.

Then the concierge called the real estate agent!

They had a key!

They close at 3!

It was 2:30...on the busiest day of the year in Sydney

But you know what. Even though time was against us, especially WITH THE SLOWEST TAXI DRIVER EVER, we made it. I could keep my money! NYE was saved! We weren't homeless!

We had such a nice time and no wine was spilled on the carpet that night. Life is good.

I hope you all had a nice new years eve and got your midnight kiss!!
xxxxxxxx (just in case you didn't)
