When I think about it, hair is really weird. It's stuff that grows out of the top of my head that I decide to manipulate in a way in which I feel is pleasing to the eye... hmm lol.
I have a history of big hair mistakes which I can now share with you all because I can now laugh about it. I even visited Bebo and Myspace in order to get some old photos...however it made me 'update my profile' and in doing that, decided to only keep one of my photos...sigh.
When I was younger my mum always kept me with a fringe. Which looked nice at the start of the day...but as the day progressed it would kind of end up in a sweaty mess all pushed to the side. A 4 year old can't really grasp the whole hair maintenance thing. Ever since then I have gone back and forth between fringe and no fringe. Even though I know that once I get the fringe, it will annoy me...
So here are some photos of my hair history. Although I have to take responsibility for some of the hideous poses I did, keep in mind it was back when everyone did them... haha.
Excuse the poor quality. Photo of a photo lol |
The above photo is a preschool photo. Take note of the fringe lol. It's all pretty because my mum would always pack a comb and a wet face washer to wipe my face with before the photo was taken. I was one of the vegemite on the face kinda kids.
Really? Pouting? Shameful lol |
Short hair really doesn't suit me. So I'm not sure why I always went back to having it...An even bigger mistake was making the huge change from long hair to short hair when I changed schools at the end of year 10. My confidence went along with my hair haha. So...how did I fix this? Let the dying phase begin!
Too dark you casper biatch. P.s. nice 3D glasses lmao |
First permanent die on my 18th birthday |
Washout dye...what a rebel |
It was around this point that I began to miss my blonde hair. So what did I decide to do? Bleach it at home of course! -_- WHYYYYY. lol. Yes it saved me money. But there were many tears before bedtime that night. Basically I didn't really research things very well and I picked the wrong shade of blonde to put on after the bleach and it just looked so yuck. But I ended up getting it to a nice colour! And then came the fringe again..............what an idiot.
You look ten... |
The fringe lasted a couple of weeks before I started just pushing it into my regular hair. I'm not really a do your hair everyday kinda person.
So where am I now? Well I dyed my hair this light brown colour which I actually love. Then I got a bit lazy so I left it a while without dying it...and I can now see my natural hair colour coming through. Which is basically a little bit lighter then the colour I have in. So my plan is to grow out my natural hair if I can control myself haha. When I have kids I will let them dye their hair if they want to...but I will definitely tell them a couple of my horror stories just in case it will change their mind. I should also mention a couple of my dying experiences were done without the permission of my mother...So not only was she upset I did it...she was also a little reluctant to help me fix it, although she always did :) Especially the time I tried to dye it copper brown and it went pink/orange. niceeeee.
Hope you enjoyed this! Have a lovely day xx
